Abandon Ship...
I've made a decision. I'm leaving. 20Six introduced me to blogging, but the new engine (whilst it may be flexible and capable of brilliant things) has led me to think several things. Blogging is about community, an interchange of ideas and news. I write this stuff to keep in touch with my friends and let them know what I'm doing. 20Six's new engine has booted much of our community into touch, maybe only in the short term, but it sucks. Why, oh why did they have to remove ALL the links to other 20six sites from my blog? They're changing THEIR addressing system, can't they alter the links? It was within their power to delete them!! So, this is my last 20Six blog. It is essentially a link, to my new blog, hopefully hosted by some people who don't want to mame my blog and stop people looking at it. PLEASE ALTER YOUR LINKS TO: http://itsstinos.blogspot.com/ Thank you and goodnight! Stino xx

Its a freakin mess
Blogging used to be easy. You picked a template, threw some links together and added pictures. At no point did anyone mention the host site sabotaging everything on my freakin blog!!
It sucks.
Please bear with me. I suspect once I work things out it'll be ok, but I need to time to overcome the problems that have been thrown at me. As you may have noticed, I HAVE NO FREAKIN TIME.
Everything should now be visible, but frankly, who knows! No time to check.
Please, please, please, post a comment to tell me where the heck your blogs are (Mike, Rach, I've got yours!).
This aside life is good if busy.
Love to all,
Stino

Eeek, another week
So much for the renewed everyday of my blogging endeavours, fell away pretty fast! But not for as lon as last time! New computer has arrived and my oh my it is pretty! Very quick, massive screen. Video compositing is about three times quicker than the old crate. mp3s mostly copied across, trying now to upload all the new cds. Eeesh, why can't they do themselves?? Radiohead- Blackpool is a poor venue at best, the stage is too low, you can't see and there's a slight echo in the room which is distracting. Radiohead were very good, think new songs will be more accessible to people than Hail To The Thief - to my ear they've gone slightly more guitary, or at least worked out what guitar/noise balance they want. I suspect one of them got a copy of 'The Bends' out and thought, yes, we are pretty darn good! So all in all a good gig! FA Cup - much better final than recent ones, worth watching as a neutral, even if I missed extra time to go over to Duncan's so we could go to Radiohead. So yes, well done to Liverpool. Quinta - Chester's youth weekend away was last weekend, am still very tired after it, but it was very cool. I don't really do face to face youth ministry, so I did techy stuff and played with the "mighty" McFling at the campfire. It was all good. We made a kick ass worship video to Switchfoot's "Dare You To Move" outling man's fall from the created order and the fact God wants us back. Went down very well, with some people asking for copies of it, and generally showing interest in our video ministry. I think it will become better as more people embrace it and there are other people for us to share ideas with. At the moment we are a little limited as to who we can bounce ideas off. Kyle has been great for that. If you're interested, there's always the chance I can burn the things to cd for you and send them out. They're all in .wmv format which is a little ropey, but you've gotta work with the tools you've got! Hectiness continues as I am speaking at Church on Sunday (Pentecost - such a gift, so, so much to talk about) and then at some Youth Event in Chester Cathedral a week on sat. Its all good I guess, just have to sleep at somepoint. Like Now. Goodnight!!

The American...
Have you heard about Kyle? He's our friendly local American.
Kyle is 18, from an hour outside San Fransisco in California. He's doing a year placement here in Heswall working with the church youth at youth fellowship, in schools, leading musical worship and other such things. He's a lovely chap. His family knew the Beals (our youth and childrens ministers) from their time in the states and Kyle (the lucky blighter) was given the chance to come over and work alongside us for a year.
His special skills include trawling the internet for crap, playing bass in our naff band, McFling, being American and not drinking. He seems to be enjoying himself and is always good company. I think he may even be staying with me next week whilst his host family are on holiday. Marvelous.
He must be credited for both the Emo Rangers and DragonForce sites. One found whilst going to his own my space, the other found whilst looking for videos online. He makes my broadband connection better value.
In other news, I have bought a new computer. This old crate is on its last legs. Once I have the new beasty, I shall set up my video editing and music studio so that I can record some songs and edit some videos. At this point, look out for a new my space. After all, pure volume is so last year!
Incidently, three days to Radiohead. Oh yes!!

Hecticness and bands
Mental week!! Went to Newcastle last sunday to catch up with people and build a wall at my Gran's house...
Sorry, quick recap necessary, my Dad's mum recently passed away. She had been very ill for a very long time (bed bound for the last 6 years or so). She died peacfully in her sleep in Hospital having been taken in around three weeks before she died. I got to see her a few days before she died which was nice, she was very weak and couldn't muster the energy to really talk much, she was still the same witty lady I have enjoyed spending my time with over the years. She will be greatly missed, but I thank God for the mercy that her long struggle with illness is over and now she can find rest.
... as it is going on sale and needed a little work doing. It was very cool seeing people saw old house mates, friends from church, including Joe and Sarah who were married last year. Marvelous. Having had dinner with Joe and Sarah on Monday night I drove home, getting in at 1:30 in the morning. At 8:30 the next day I was on a train to Dundee for work! Had a manic few days on a site visit for a flood study in Scotland before blasting back down to the Wirral on Thursday. Work friday, collapse in a heap in the evening.
Today was spent shifting concrete, mowing the "grass" (its mostly moss...) and ripping up my garden. I'm currently landscaping it all, its like a garden makeover show, but much much more like hard work. I then built a hill on a skip on my drive. I really will try to take a picutre, its really rather good.
So all in all a facinating week. So tired though!!
Bands to commend and suchlike.
First a good band. Captain (yes they have a mysoace). Saw them supporting The Delays in a tiny venue in Liverpool. They're really rather good, lots of interest nice sound. Debut album coming out very soon, single "Broke" in the shops this week.. They have the potential to be this years summer band, but probably have the talent to stay if/when they make it.
Secondly and much worse are Dragon Force, they suck tremendously. They are probably very talented musicians, but there is all together too much hair, and they need to be beaten with sticks. Do check out there new video, there is some most amusing posing. Also the band biogs are a giggle. They each describe there best stage move. Oh that we could all perform Herman Li's "Drum Riser Spin Bounce". Anyway, enjoy.
